Many people thought that Gold Coast is an expensive holiday place and it is also kind of underrated compared to other countries for a budget trip. It is indeed an affordable place to visit for us Malaysian with so many fun activities to do!

Most highlighted question is, “Is it easy to find halal food?” YES. It is not difficult at all. We will share with you guys some of the places you can get easy fast halal food later below.

1. GET YOUR AUSTRALIA VISA READY!

• Yup! Australia’s regulation requires you to apply for their travel visa before going to their country. The visa will usually be approved within the same day of application, provided that there are no issue with your passport, eg: blacklisted, expired etc

2. GET YOUR FLIGHT TICKET READY!

• There is no point of doing all these researches if you don’t get your flight ticket ready. ? Make sure to plan your holiday ahead, purchase your flight tickets online or if you don’t like any fuss and prefer a hassle free travel, you may contact your nearest travel agent (PSG VACATION! ? https://psgvacation.com.my/contact-us/) to arrange the flight tickets for you. Best advise from us is purchase a direct flight to Gold Coast Airport (OOL). You may save a lot of money and cut some travel time and cost compared to arriving in Brisbane Airport (BNE). (Pro tips: Brisbane Airport located about 1 1/2 hours from Gold Coast- by car , and approximately 2 hours by train)

3. SURVEY FOR ACCOMMODATION / GROUND HANDLING PACKAGES

4. HALAL RESTAURANTS IN GOLD COAST

• For Muslim tourists, halal food is a compulsory thing to be taken into the list. If you are staying in Surfers Paradise area (Goshh I love this place), there are some halal kebab restaurant you may find in this area. You may also try to dine in seafood restaurants that particularly serves fresh seafood for you to try. Vegetarians restaurant may also be found here. There are also some convenience store in this area for you to buy some basic food necessities i.e; mineral water, bread, jam, etc. The mineral water will only costs you around AUD 9.00 for a carton of 24 bottles!

5. CLOTHING ATTIRE

• Prepare a suitable clothing for your comfort throughout your stay! If you are planning to go during winter, make sure to bring a suitable jacket as the temperature might drop to a minimum of 9°c. And if you are travelling during summer, just bring your usual tee and jeans.

          Summers (December – February): Gold Coast summers fall between December to February with an average pleasant temperature of 20-28°C.  January to March experiences the highest rainfall and hot days are often followed by tropical storms. It can get bit humid but can offset by cool sea breezes. This is certainly one of the best times of the year to experience the Gold Coast’s glorious beaches.

         Autumn (March – May): During this season, the sunny days are followed by warm nights – ideal for outdoor water activities such as fishing and sailing. (High: 26°c Low: 14°c)

         Winter (June – August): The climate during this season remains quite sunny and dry. The humidity is lower, there is less rain, but the temperature is still warm. (High: 22°c Low: 9°c)

          Spring (September – November): This season has a similar climate to autumn, with sunny days followed by mild tropical evenings. September can get windy and is thus great for sports such as kite-surfing, kite-boarding, windsurfing and sailing.  (High: 27°c Low: 12°c)

• Personally, our most favorite season is Spring, travel date starting September to November. The weather is so nice, with slightly cold wind with warm sunlight. So perfect for outdoor theme park activities! And not to forget, lots of beautiful flowers too!
